Lohri is the popular festival of Punjabi people. Lohri festival is observed every year on January 13. This is the time when Earth Starts moving towards the Sun, making an auspicious period of Uttarayan.

People also offer prayers to the fire, seeking prosperity. The festival is very important for the newly wed couples and newly born babies as it makes fertility.
